"Their Old Stuff is Better"
I read this quote on a Last.FM blog:
"Can someone explain to me why for fuck's sake every single band has at least a few fans bitching about how shitty their last x albums are compared to how orgasmically awesome the "old stuff" is?"
I think its the worst in the metal scene.
For example: People complain about Dimmu Borgir's newer material (which is nowhere near poppy), about how they sold out and stuff, even though most people have never heard of them outside of the metal scene. It also seems like unless you listen to only black metal recorded by some Nazi misanthrope in an cave in the Arctic circle, someone in some way will call you a poser.

I run into this problem all
I run into this problem all the time because the few metalhead friends I have are so anal about music. Certain bands, it's true, their new stuff is horrendous compared to the old days (see: Nightwish), and more often it may not be *as good* but it's still not complete shit (see: Kamelot), but too often people just start waving around the "sell-out" speeches and how everything's shit compared to the "old days". Just shut up and enjoy your music.
Well, at least when it comes
Well, at least when it comes to good cheesy tunes and cheap videos, the finnish tongue-in-cheek power metal kings Heavy Metal Perse rules.

Check it out, worthy of this site!
I forgot to tell you that
I forgot to tell you that this is indeed their first song and video, and the later songs and albums aren't nearly as captivating. Also, a bit of wikipedia/googling around will tell you what the band and song names translate to. I don't want to spoil your discovery of heavy metal chuckles.
